Gloucester Road, Taradale A suggestion by the Commissioner of Transport, to exclude portions of Glouceste# street from tbe 30 miles an hoiir speed restrictions was nofc favonred by the Taradale Town Board last flightt It Was pointed out that when race meetings were- being held there was always a heavy voluhie of trafiic from the raceeourse through Taradale. During the summer months ths (ampiitggrounds at Otatara had become incteasingly popular, and the street to its entrance at times carried a lot of traffie. Members agreed that the lifting of the restrictions that at present apply to ,both soctions of Gloucester street would result in a weakening of the policy now being carried out. SuggcStions from the commissioner regarding the restrictions on other highways entering the town district were approvcd.
