ROTORUA, Last Night. Shortly before 4 o'clock this morniugj Surrey House, a private hotel of ' 2S rooms, was almost entirely gutted bjf1 a fire which broke out apparently xa, one of the boaxder's bedrooms. When the alarm was given the fire had a strong hold, but the proprietress, Mrs. L. Devin, her daughter, and.members of the stafir, together with five guests were all awakened and made their escape.
