AUUKUAND, 'fhis JJay. The weather has hofe aucceeded in drying up the Ellerslie track, and the going on Saturday for the final day of the Auckland winter meeting is going to be heavy. Again the fields are very good, and further interesting racing will be witnessed. The form eo far should be the hesfc to foilow, Pqter Beckford is due to make his first appearance in the Visitors' Handicap, and as he has galloped brilliantly more than once since his arrival he should command support. The Winter Steeplechase is going to be a puzzle, for the entry of Tudar further eomplicates the position. Apart from the top weight, rosy chancea are held by Valpeen, Windsor Lad, Allegretto, Don Erma, Black Marlin and Sky Pilot (if reaerved). Windsor Lad fell twice at Te Rapa, and this may be agadnst him, Form horses engaged on Saturday are:— TAMAKI • STEEPI^ECH ASE. — Sky Pilot, Kinkle, Emancipatlon.
