WITH THE HOUNDS
Some Good Runs But No Success MEET AT GLENELG (Contributed.) Hounds met at Glenelg on Tuesdaj' with a smaller field than usual, owing, no doubt, to the bad Weather. The master iirst worked ont the lower ground that had good cover, and hounds soon put np their quarry, which m.ade for the hills beliind Mr Ashby's house, turned and tried to come back to the creek, where it was turned by some later followers and went up a gully. Hounds followed the scent well, but were unlucky that sheep crossed the line. After checking hounds chopped their liare in a scrub patch. It was a patchy day. Hares' were plentiful and scent fairly strong on the flats, but the hills were too cold to hold the lme, and though the field got plenty of jumping and ,, hounds worked particularJy well, there was no kili. Quit© a good run took the hunt to Mr Simmonds', but it was too cold to hope for any success, so the master took the field home. The thanks of the hunt go to Mrs Tait, Mr O.
