WAIPUKURAU, This Day. Despite the cold, and wet weather, the annual meeting of the Central Hawke's Bay Greyhound Racing Club was a great success at Central Park yesterday. Eaitries were partinularly good, coming' from all parts of Hawke's Bay and other districts. The performances of the dogs were quite satisfactory, and with a particularly large number of events, patrons were afforded an interesting day's outing. A feature of the meeting was the excellent organlsation. The secretary and treasurer, Mr J. H. Hindman, worked hard to eausure the meeting being a success, and he received eager assistance from the oflScials, who were as follow: — President M!r A. W. Parsons ; judge, Mr J. McCarthy ; starter, Mr W. Adams; colour stewards, Messrs G. Dowrick, G. Bromell, J. But* ler; ground mechanics, Messrs P. Bilair and J. Butler ; trap eteward, Mr B. Manning; hare steward, Mr K. R. Hindman; hurdle stewards, Messrs W. Adams and W. Gaston; timekeeper, Mr 1. W. N- Mackie; disputes committee, Messrs A. Annand, S. Southerwood, J. Skidmore and C. R. Watson.
