Two Ready For Commission By End of Year SPEED QF 36 KNOTS

(Beceived 10, 12.30 p.m.) E1JGBY, June 9. Two Tribal class destroyers, the Afridi and Cossack, were launched within seven -minutes of each other from the naval yard of Vickers, Armstroug. The vessels are arined with 4.7 guns, anti-aircraft guns, and torpedo tubes. They aTe expected to be ready for commission by the end of the year. Each has a displacement of 1850 tons, with engines of 44,000horse-power qnd a speed of 36 knots. They -have a length of 33 feet, and a beam of 36i feet. The Leda, a minesweeper of 815 tons, was lannched at Devonport Doekyard. The Seagull, her sister ship, leaves the stoeks shortly.
