MUNICIPAL THEATRE

COMBDY AND DRAMA. "There Goes Susie," with Gene Gerrard, Wendy Barrie, Zelma Q'Neill and Gus McNaughton, soreens at the Municipal Theatre to-night. For patrons who demand a gaily irresponsible story, with plenty of comedy and a lilting song or two, here is the entertainment goods. It deals with the romantic ups-and-downs of poor artist Andre Cochet and rich man's daughter Madeleine Sartaux. The altruistic Madeleine poses for Andre's forthcoming masterpiece dealing with the "Susannab and the Elders'' theme, but this is regrettably used as a soap advertisement by Madeleine's own dad, .thanks to the enterprise of Andre's helpful manservant, Brammel. Both the artist and the model are justifiably annoyed, but in the end that young rascal, Oupid, has his .way. Add to this dominating comedy bid the couple of tuneful songs, and neatly staged cabaret specatcle in whitk a sextette of pretty girls dance very weli and the joint stellar ap>eal of Gene Gerrard and Wendy Barrie as the dolorous lovers, and it will be agreed that here is just the sort of stuff beloved of the masses. The supporting feature "Under Pressure," at the Municipal Theatre to-night is a gripping drama of adventures under the sea, starring Victor McLaglen, Edmund Lowe and M^rgorie Ltambeau.
