FUR COATS AND TAILORED SUITS AT NAPIER PARK RACES

Fine* weather favoured the first day of the Napier Park Racing Club's winter meeting yesterday; and being ja general holiday there was a large crowd present. Many fur eoats were to be ser-r.- »:>'! tailored suits and coats weiv much favoured, navy blue and . ■ being the predomjnating colours. toques and tali crowned hats were very popular, and many bright-coloured scarves were worn with costumes. Musicpl ' items were given by the Napier Citizens' Rand at intervals between races, and patrpns enjoyed a very - pleasant afternoon. Noticed among those on the Iawn were;. — Mrg. J. E. Gleadow, wearing a full length coat of natural niusquasb and small brown velour hat. Hrs. W, E. Earnard, tailored navy snit, woollen jumper of soft rose%shade, navy peaeh blpom velpnr hat and hipiength brown fur'ocat. Mrs T, H. Lowry, a model eoat of navy blue and hat of navy velour. Mrs. B, Stead, smart coat of brown astrakhan and small brown hat. Mrs. M. Brodie, grey and black checked frock worn undVr a coaf of light grey fur, and grey velour hat. Mrs. J. Lowry, model suit of black worn under a fawn wrhp-over coat, smart black glengarry hat. Mrs. Bettington (Sydney), fawn furlene coat, beautiful collar of fox fur, smart brown toque trimmed with teather mount and eye-veil. Mrs. E. Nelson, smart black suit, black and whlte spotted scarf, small black hat and light brown coat. Mrs. Barrett, full length coat of brown astrakhan and toque of same material. Mrs. C. Haldane, brown diagonal cloth coat with collar of brown sea] skin, brown peach bloom velour hat smartly trimmed with blue quill. Mrs. T, White, black cloth coat, collar of dyed squirrel, small black velour hat. Mrs. Reid, cloth coat of wine with brown squirrel collar, smart wine fur felt hat. Mrs. A. J. Manson, natural musquasb coat, fawn felt hat trimmed with quill and eye vejl. Mrs. W. Eobertson, navy suit worn under musquasb fur coat, smart blue toque. Mrs. V. Williamson, navy cloth coat, fox fur collar, model navy hat witb quill. Mrs. H. Smitb, model coat of navy with dark grey squirrel collar and smart navy hat. Mrs. H. Glazebrook, suit v- of green angora flecked with white and hat to tono. Mrs. Donne, beautiful coat of grey squirrel and smart black hat. Mrs R.
