Record Entries For To-day's Play THIS MORNING'S RESULTS Tlie Hawke's Bay Hockey Association's annual 11-a-side tournament for xnen's and women' s teama in both senior and junior grades * began at Nelson Park, Hastings, at 9.30 o'clock this morning. With nearly 50 teams competing, ' it wjll require over 100 games to decide the section wmners for the finals, which are expected to be played about 4.30 p.m. All teams from the Napier and Hastings associations are taking part, and two men's teams from Palmerston North have entered, as well as teams from Dannevirke, Wairoa and Norsewood, exceeding all previous records of nominations. Despite a cold wind, the games attracted a large number of spectators. Conditions for play were fairly satisfactory, but the ground was a trifle soft.
