OFF-COURSE BETTING
Success of Queensland Laws SYDNEY, June 8. It is repprted that the new Queensland laws a'gainst starting "price betting, which make off-the-course betting an offence punishable by heavy fines and imprisonment, have entirely killed hotel betting, reduced the number 'f betting ghops from 70Q to 40 and inereased racecourse attendances by 250 per cent.
