RETIRING PLUNKET SOCIETY PRESIDENT HONOURED
• Following the Waipukurau Plunket meetings on Tuesday afternoon, committee membera adjourned to tbe Ruahine tearooms for afternoon tea, given in bonour of tbeir retiring president, Mra. J. Hobson. ' Pyior to sitting down to tea, Mrs. J. D, Ormond, speaking on bebalf of tbe members, expr'essed regret at Mrs. Hobson 's resignation. In presentiug ber vvitb a small gift from " tbe members, Mrs. Ormond mentioned tbat Mrs. Hobsqn bad accomplisbed wonderful work during ber term .of offlce, and sbe boped that in tbe future Mrs. Hobson would Be able to resume offlce. In reply, Mrs. Hobson thanked tbe members for tbeir gift and mentioned tbe valuable assistance sbe had received from ber busband; tbrougb bis assistance sbe bad found it mucb easier to carry on tbe work.
