RUGBY, June 7. The Ministry of Labour estimate; that at May 24 the nnmber of insure.i persons in employment in Great Britain exclusive of persons within the agricul tural scheme, was approximateU 11,387,000. This is 7000 fewer than a month before but 469,000 more than a year Ago. At the same date the numbers o! registered unemployed in Great Britai? were 1,450,340, comprising -1,173,802 wholly unemployed, 207,228 temporarily laid off and 70,300 normally in casual employment. Tihis was 3112 fewer thai; at April 19, and 253,712 fewer than a i May 25, 1936.
