WANGANUI, Last Night. Delegates of the Wanganui, Waitotara, Waimarino, Rangitikei and Patea County Councils conferred this morning regarding the amalgam'ation proposais and decided they were not in a position to suggest a scheme which would provide ro? a better system of efficiency, economy and community interest than that in force at present. They were not, how ever, unfavourable to the consideration of the amalgamation of small intcrnal local bodies in each individual county. I
