WAIPAWA, This Day. Tbe weather on Saturday was not condueive to good scoring on the Waipawa golf linlts, and the extremeiy wintry conditions were reflfected in tbe cards feturned for the second round of the F. M. T. Cup. The results of the qualifiers over the two rounds are as follows: —
.The draw for the -Saturday sectiou for the above cup, to be piayed off match play on handicap, is as follows: Ccllings plays Edwards"; Watts plays J. Knobloch; Trevana plays Chisholm; R. Knobloch' plays Witherow. The first round is to be complete-;, bv July 10. A most enjoyable match was piayed over the- week-end against the .Marakeke Club, ,on the -Marakeke links, a four-ball during the morning, and u two-ball during the afternoon. The result went in favour of Waipukurau ai'ter some very. elose games Un Wednesday a full day's pro-gj-amme will be piayed, during tlie moTning a mixed foursome, and in tho sl'iernoon a strokc . round. Next week-end the elub will vis.it Parkvale for the annual match with that club.
