NEW RAILWAY STATION
Meeting To-night to Further The Proposal A meeting of those organisations interested in the proposal for the construetion of a new railway station in Hastings aud in railway matters generally as affeeting the borough is to be held at the Borough Council chambers this evening. The meeting has been called by the Mayor, Mr G. A. Maddison, to enbale the representatives of the various organisations and loeal bodies interested to discuss the whole question with a view to making sueh representations as are eonsidered advisable to the Minister of Railways, +he Hon. D. G, Sullivan. Invitations have been extended to the members vf the Hastings Borough Council, the town clerk (Mr Noel C. Harding), the borough engineer (Mr C. E. Evans), the executive of the Hastings and District Progress League, the members of the Hastings Chamber of Commerce, the executive of the Hastings Retailers' Association, Mr E. L. Cullen, M.P,, and the stationmaster, Mr J. P. Cassidy.
