MANAWATU WINTER SHOW

For some time now there has been great aetivity at the Palmerston North Bliowgrounds among those who are pre* paring show stands. Almost all the available space was let to exbibitore weeks ago, and now there remain only a handful of stands available for late comers, Complete re-modelling of the lay-out of their stalls lias been under- ' taken by most 'dairy-machinery vendors, with the result that already it is ap- • paront that new and novel methods of display will arrest the attention of show patrous. The Motor Olympia will be completely re-modelled and re-deco-rated in most dignilled and pleasing tnste. Entries are so nuraerous in the competjtjve sections that great difficulty is being experienced in planning the layout for these exhibits, It is expeeted that there will bo at Jeast as many Women 's Instituto courts as at the famous golden jubiloe winter show. Word has come from the show ojfice that there is every jiidication that when the final mai! ontrics are catalogued new records will be set up in nearly all sections of the show. It is aiso learned that applicntious for side-show and amusement space are so numerons as to be almost embarrassing. In this department there will be sueh attractious ai scoota-boats, dodgems, water chute, merry-go-round, chair-o-plane, miniature railway and devil plane.
