THEFT OF BOOTS

For tho theft of a pair of working boots valued at £1 7/G, Harold Howard 'Walker, a bootmaker, of no fixed abode, was convicted by Mr. J. Miller, S.M., at tlie Napier Magistrate's Court yesterday and ordered to eoine up for eentence if called upon within twelve months, on eondition that he entered the Salvation Army- Home at Wellington. In entering a conviction, the Magistrate commented that' the defendant had been fortnnate to have Majov C. 0Neeve, of the Salvation Army, in COurf to speak for him.
