REMINDERS

The Napier Park Racing Club's winter meeting is to be held to-morrow and Saturday' at Napier Park, Greenmeadows. Acceptances for the second day's events elose at ■ noon on Thursday and/ the first race on Saturday starts at noon. All will he gaiety at the Oddfellows' Hall, Hastings, to-morrow night, when the Hibernians Will hold their b'ig caraival night of dancing and a 500 tournament. After . the races you can brighton up. amidst streamers and balioons.. There will be novelties galorc and incre.ased p.rizes. Special effortg are being made, to provide the best in music and supper. Tlie annual meeting of the Central Hawke's Bay Greyhound Racing Assbciation will be tun at Central Park, Waipukurau, to-morrow. The first. race starts at 10 a.m. sharp. The annual general meeting of the St. John Ambulance Association, Hastings sub-centre, will be held in the council chamhers on Friday, rt 7.30 p.m. Every detail- is now in readiness for the big ball to be held by the Hastings Citizens' Band in the Assembly Hall to-night. The decorations were completed last evening and will eclipse all previous efforts. Napier and country patrons are reminded of the free bus leaving Clive Square, returning after the dance. To-night will be one long to be remembered, so roll up and support tho band.
