Drunken Man Attempting to Boaru ttus "You could not have picked a worsc place to use such language," remarked the Bench when Wiiliam Laha appeared ih the Hastings Magistrate's Court thia morning on a charge of UBiflg ObsCbhe language while endeavouring to board a motor-bus in Russell street. Hastings, and also of being f blind driink ih Karamu road. He pleaded gudlty to both chargCSi Messrs; M, W. C. Baird aiid F. C. Wilkinson presided-. The Bench said that, ih view of his rfeOOrd and the filthy language ttsed, defendant would be cohvicted aua fined £5 0n the first charge and would be convicted ahd discharged on the othCr. He was latef arrCSted ih Karamu road. He had been coh* viCted previously for disoiderly bC= haViour. Defendant remarked that he wai vefy sorry, but he had hot beeh in a fit state to realise that he Was USing the language complained of.
