Car skids on Frozen Snow

| WANGANUI, Last Nigiht. t When a three-seater motor-car ^skidded on the frozen snow and went ; over a bank at Opaea about four miles i north of Taihape at 3 p.m. to-day, John : Persson, contractor, a married man with four children, of Mangaweka, was * killed. The car was driven by his brotheT, ! Mr. J. A. Persson, of Palmerston North, j and the latter's wife was a passenger.' These two people escaped severe injury. The car was travelling from Waiouru to Taihape and skidded after • negotiating a bend and landed in a creek at the side of the road. John Persson was pinned underneath the vehicle and was dead when; ■extricated. i
