SYDNEY, June 5. At the Yictoria Park races Rea Clover linished second in the second division of the Novice Handicap. Hands Up and Jutland were unplaced in the Victoria Park Handicap, in which Friar's -Switch and Gay Knight dead-heated for first. MELBOURNE, June 5. The Grand National i'ancy, Pooley Bridge, staged a thrilling finish in the Vork Hurdles at Flemington, when iie camo from third last and gallopoc! so fast over the last tliree furlongs that he caught the leader, Bridge of Mar, and won on the post. Santa Casa, in the Hopetoun Steeplechase, was just beaten in the last etride by Elecance.
The Limond colt, Royal Order, having his first run in Australia, won the second division of the Rothsay Handicap impressively. Chipf results were: — YORK HURDLES. POOLEY BRIDGE, 12.12 (Healy) .. 1 .Bridge of Mar, 10.8 (Foley) .... 2 King Siris, 9.4 (Jennings) ...... 3 Fourteen started. Neck; three-quar-ter3 of a length. Time, 3.43$. HOPETOUN STEEPLECHASE. ELEGANCE, 10.7 (Dummett) .... 1 Santa Casa, 11.13 (Armsden) .... 2 Wakerife, 10.11 (Foley) 3 Fourteen started, including Cape Lilock. Length and a-quarter; four lengths. Time, 4.2. ROTHSAY HANDICAP. (Second Division). ROYAL ORDER, 7.8 (Jenkins) .. 1 i Pageant, 8.1 (Wilson) 2 Winoobra, 8.7 (Woodhouse) .... 3 ' Thirteen started. Length; threequarters of a length. Time, 1.29$. ROYAL HANDICAP. ' STUDIO, 9.3 (Skidmore) 1 Hostile, 8.10 (Forbes) 2 Regular Bachelor, 9.12 (Wilson) .. 3 Nine started, including Namakia. Length and three-quarters; length and a-quarter. Time, 1.14$. Upoko Ariki was second in the Sandringham Handicap.
