AUCKLAND, June 4. A request for an alteration in thc proposed schedule^.of Union Airways' Auckland-Wellington service, to bo inaugurated on June 26, is contained in a letter sent to-day by the pres'idenl of the Auckland Ghamber of Commerce, Mr. W. R. Fec. The letter points out the need for the provision of a one-day service from Auckland to Christchurch and Dunedin. It states that the fact thst the north-bound plane will connect af Palmerston North with a plane for Dunedin, thus providiilg a one-day service from Soutih Island centres 1 Auckland, has given the Chamber great satisfaction, but the need for :-i similar one-day service soutliwarA from Auckland still exists. An alteration to the .proposed time-table to 'en able a connection with the south bound plane at Palmerston North would be 'greatly appreeiated. Th^ chamber suggests departurc from Auck land at 8.15 a.m. instead of noon, as * proposed.
