School Struck By Thunderbolt

AUCKLAND, Last Night. Another thunderbolt was experienced jtt Pukekohe this afterhoon. It struck the new wing of the Pukekohe High School about 3.30, tearing a large hole in the roof and scattering the tiles for some distance round the building. Portunately the children who attend the school had left for home a few tninutes earlier, and no one was injured. The headmasfcer (Mr W. P. J. Munro) •and members of the staff 'were in the school when the building was struck by the thunderbolt, and for a brief apace were thrown into a state of confusion. "¥e did not know whether we were icoming or going for a minute or two," s'Mr Munro stated subsequently. ' 'We jwere deafened by the noise and confused by the flash. The telephone wires ■were dam&ged and the fusea blown. ' '
