Waipukurau Play Takapau

WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. A very enjoyable afternoon was spent on the Maharakeke links on Tliuisday, when an inter-club match was played between teams from the Takapau Ladies ' Golf Club and the Waipuku rau Club. The weather was ideal and the links in excelient order. Miss Jean Speedy, captain of the Waipukurau Club, welcomed the visitors, and at the conclusion of the afternoon 's plav, Mrs A'Dean returued thanks on behalf of the Takapau players for the very enjoyable afternoon. The Waipukurau team were the winners by one game. Following are the results, Takapau players being meUtioned first: — Mrs Tollemache won from Mrs Urquhart. Mrs Hobson won from Mrs Train. Mrs Davies won from Mrs McCormick. Miss E. White lost to Mrs Ward. Mrs Craig halved with Mrs Eadie. Miss Craig lost to Miss N. Williams. Miss A. Hobson lost to Mrs Bradley. Mrs Sanders won from Mrs Coats. Mrs Murphy lost to Miss Hartley. Miss T. Power won from Miss A. Wilder. Mrs McDonnell lost to Mrs Browne. Mrs A'Deane won from Mrs Hurds* field. Miss Jensen lost to Miss MeLauchlan. Miss Murphy lost to Miss Clark.
