QUEENSLAND OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP NORMAN VON NIDA. Following a first day's total of 144 (69 and 75), Norman von Nida literally raii away with the Queensland open golf championship witli two wonderful 70's on the second day. This 10 strokes winning magin in a third of three successive opens, coupled with lower scores in all the purses and his success with brother Dudley in the 4-ba'll tilt, which prefaced the meeting proper, placed von Nida in a class aloof in the just concluded -Queensland championship carnival. Phar Lap, at weight-for-ago, was never more convincing, says Ihe Sydney Referee's Brisbane correspondent.
