New EnterprUe to Begin in Hastings WELL-EQUIPPED FACTORY Another milestone • has been passed on the road of secondary industries in Hawke's Bay with the opening of Agnew Refrigeration, Ltd., a company formed by leading Hastings business men for the furtherance and development of refrigeration. The company is fortunate in .having a its head Mr. J. K. Agnew, late engineer at Nelson 's (N.Z.) Ltd., Tomoana. Mr. Agnew. has . made a special study of refrigeration, and has been the originator of some very fine installatio'ns in tlie district, which have been, constructed for considerably less than instillations 'f rom , outside would have cost. . • • . A well-equipped modem factory- has been established in Karamu road, Hastings (premises previouoly occupied by C. Torr, Ltd.), wherein all types of ie2rigeration cabinets,- including. ... display cases," ice-cream cabinets, walk-in coolers, and domestic : ref rigerators, will be manufactured- . ' Pirovision has been made for the designing, production, and installlng of the larger type of commercial refrigeration plant to special requirements. These will be constructed to embody the most recent features.in refrigeration. A staff of qualified technicians is now engaged, and their skill and knowledge, combined with the modern plant, will mean the production in Hawke's Bay of ref rigerators and, Tefrigeration plants of a standard equal to any imported article bnt at much lower cost. A service department will be open to the public, and will be maintained for the servicing and repairing of all types of ref rigerators, and will incliide all electrical repairs connected' with refrigeration. The piant in this department is second to none, and its installation will ensure speedy repairs at low prices. Full stocks of ref rigerants, : oils and accessories will be avuilable 'to the trade. This service should be of inestimable value to .service men, as much time can bo saVed in effecting repairs. _ ' . •
