Williamson haa boen superseded aa the Government I'oproaentative on the board by Mr I). B. .VicRae, of Lawrence roacl, Napier. The appointment is to date from the nevi iiieeting of the board. Mr Williamson has a record of service on the board that is unequalled. Being oue of the orignnal members 17 ytarri ugo, when Ihe Napier Fire Board becamo distinct from tho Napier Borough Council, which had liitherfco eeutrolled this aspect of the administration of the towu, Mr Williamson also served a term as ehairman, liolding that position -when the lirst station was built on the present site after having cccupied other positions in the town. Mr McRae, who is ehairman of the Napier branch of the New Zealand Labour Party, is also the Government representativo on tlie Nain'cr Socondary Education Board,
