TO-MORROW'S RUGBY
To-inorrow marks the final series oi games in the first round of the Hawke 's Bay Eugby Union's senior competition. At the conclusion of last Saturday'e games, M.A.C. and Marist were equal with twelve pointe eaeh, being twp points abead of their nearest rivals. If current form is any eriterion, it seems highly probable that they will both •begin ehe second round with the position of points unaltered. Once again it ha® been deemed necessary for the main attraction to bo played on No. 2 ground, so that accommodation will be suflicient to copo with the large attendance which it is expected will witness the match between Marist Old Boys , and Hastings. Hastings are confident of upsetting the competition leaders, while Marist are determined to retain their prcnfier position, so that thc public may rest as'sured that to-rnorrow's game on No. 2 ground will prfklueo football of au equally high standard to that which followers of Ihe gatue Iiavo been treafced this season. On No, 1 ground Tgchnieal, who aiw second on the chantpionship ladder, will meet Pirates, who afte;r a lean season had tlieir fir3t victory last Saturday and _ are now confident of more thaii holding their own to-morrow. Th0 first home representative fixture for the season takes place on Wednesday next, June 9, and as the representative team has not yet been announced players' performanees on Saturday will have a definite bearing on the selector's choice, and consequently every player will be keen to imnress.
