Fell in Bay oi Plenty Distriet By Telograph— Press Association WELLINGTON, Last Nigbt. A sbarp earthquake occurred at Waihi at 11.35 tbis morning, lasting about six seconds. Buildings .sbook and creaked ominously. Tbe shock was probably the severest yet felt bere. A sharp earthquake shock was felt throughout the Thames and distriet 9t 11.30 a.m. to-day. Goods in provision shops were thrown from shelves, elocks stopped, and light globos swayed fyr several minutes. Another shock, a slight one, was felt at 12.15 p.m. A pronounced earthquake was felt at Tauranga at 11.34 a.m." to-day, the motion being from north to south. It was felt ifiore severely at Mouat Maunganui and generally over t'ae wbole of tbe distriet.
