"THE VIRTUE OF CHARITY"

Good Wishes to the Ex-King (Received 4, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, June 3. The News-Chronicle, in a leading article says: 4It is no -disrespect.to their Majesties to say that the thoughts of millions of the ex-subjects of Edward VIII. will, on June 3, turn to the music room at the Chateau, where the man who was King will bring to its culmination the roinance which cost him a throne. Accompanying tliose thoughts will go their aft'ectionate remembrance and best good wishes. "Edward judged it expedient to surrender the privileges and burdens ot the monarchy for the sake of the woman he loved, and whom the State would not accept. To-day criticisin should be silent. May those who would still perseeute him learn soon the virtue of charity. "
