MOTHERS VISIT THE FREE KINDERGARTEN

A pleasant informal function took place at the Free Kindergarten. on Tkursday morning, when the mothers of the children visited the Kindergarten .to watch the little ones in some of their usual activities. In the sunny playground the children were busy modelling with clay and paper, and in the schoolroom , which was bright with pictures and toys, others were playing with special kindergarten material, painting and drawing. Later they were seen at morning tea, where little helpers served each table, and in songs, musical games and carpentry. This was an opportunity for tlie mothers to liave morning tea together and become acquainted hefpre the annual meeting of the Mothers' Club, to be held next{ Tuesday.
