On the contrary, discussions regafding the matter have proved protracted and difficult owing to the divergent vieWS of the various Governments And thb shipping companies concerliCd. Every ehdeavour is being made to reaeh finality before the conclusion of the conference. This tejfly WAS given to a ffepOrt piiblished in London, asserting that the Governments of Australia, New Zealand, England and Oanada had agreed to subsid^se the building of a 25,000* ton liner to feplace the Niagara and WOUld later be Teplacing the Aorangi. The Associated Press understands that this rCpdft, which is without founda1 tiOh, is based oii recommendations which Britain made to the DOmitiiOilSj foliowing on thi Imperial Shipping COfnmittee's feport, which the Dbmihions haVe not aCCepted.
