"OHENA PASSAGE" TO-NIGHT. Brimming with action and suspense, RKO Ea3io's new thriller, "China Passage," proves a thoroughly satisfying film for mystery addicts. It commences at the State Theatre to-night. A lovely young newcomer from Australia, Constance Worth, makes her American debut as the heroine of the new offering and in her role as a feminine agent of the U,S. Customs service gives a fine performance. Yinton Haworth is cofeatured with Miss Worth as a soldier of fortune in the employ of a Chinese war lord, and two other favourites, Leslie Eenton and Gordon Jones, have similar ranking. The plot concerns the ingenious theft of a priceless diamOnd in a surprise attack on a Shanghai jewellery "store, and the efforta to fecover it during a voyage from tbat city to San Prancisco. Miss Wortb is on tbe job in ber official capacity of preventing smuggling, wbile Haworth, who was entrusted with the gem, baS his orders to recover it or meet an unpleasant fate. The two know the jewel is aboard their steamer, but neither knows which of the many suspects has it. And their search is enlivened by the murder of two of their fellow-pas-sengers and by a series of unexpeeted occurrences that hold the interest at a high pitch until the surprise climax on the dook at San Fraucisco. Screening finally to-night is the Coronation newsreel film.
