SATISFACTORY CONDUCT
The Hotels of Hastings LICENSING COMMITTEE MEETS Satisfaction with the general conduct of hotels in the district was expressed by the Hawke's Bay Licensing Committee at its annual meeting in the Hastings Courthouso this morning. Mr. J. Miller, S.M., presided over Messrs A. Bosenberg, F. King, F. C. Wilkinson and J. D. Donovan. Senior-Sergeant G. Sivyer's report was quite favourable, and Mr. Miller regarded this with satisfaction, particularly because, about two years ago, the committee had reason to draw at--tention to a number of convictions against lieensees. The following licences were granted: Renewals. — G. A. S. Luttrell (Carlton Club), F. W. Dossett (Hastings), E. G. P. McDuff (Pacific), J. P. O. O'Reilly (Hot Springs, Tarawera), H. E. Connop (Albert), T/ J. Bennett (Grand), J, Flynn (Stortford Lodge), C. B. Croft (Fernhill), E. Donald (Puketapu), A. E. Beckett (Frasertown), S. Kauter (Puketitiri), ' S. W. Evans (Waikari), J. A. Pothan (Lake, Te Pohue), A. H. McCarthy (Mohaka), T. Delaney (Marumaru). Transfer. — F. Tucker (Bay View) to Charles Fenton Manning.
