(By Telegrapb-
INVERCARGILL, Last Night"The Government' s proposals with referencer to the training of pilots by aero clubs .as announced by the Minister of Defence are the result of negotiations which have been conducted by the Minister and his officers with the New Zeaiand Aero Club," said Mr H. J. Macalister, president of tbe New Zeaiand Aero Club in commenting tonight in the Ministed's annouqcenient. "These proposals -represent a substantial dejpartnre from the scheme which previously existed; and should be of material benefit in enabling clubs to turn out skilled pilots. They bave been accepted by all the constituent clubs of the New Zeaiand Aer0 Club, and the - Government can rely on the keen cooperation of all cilubs in putting the proposals into effective operation. One matter has not yet been definitely settled — namely the question of financial assistance to clubs to enable them to purchase the aircraft required. This matter, however^ will be the subject of " further discussions with the Minister, and I have no doubt that a satisfactor* $ solution will be reached." .
