WELLINGTON, Last Night. Wages atid working conditions of the New Zealand dairy factories were discussed at a Domduion dispute before the Conciliation Couucil to-day, over 360 factories being eited The eniployees -sought a five-day forty-hour week and the employers seasonal variations in the working week, ranging froni 40 to 48 hours in bntter factories and from 38 to 52 bours in cheese, casein, milk powdfer and condensed milk factories. The employees asked for wages ranging from £5 51to £6 1.0/- for butter and cheese factory assistants. and the employers ott'ered £4 1/- to £5 3/6. The question of exempting herd-testing was referred to the Court. The employees asked for three weeks' holiday on full pay.
