The L.G.U. stroke eompetition, played on the Ormondville links on Saturday last, resulted in a win for Mrs O. Baines, with a net score of 71. Following are the best of the remaining net scores: Miss M. Rendle 73, Mrs D. Dcw 73, Miss N. Wilson 73, Miss N. Chadwick 74, Miss J. Snaddon 75, Miss J. Mor-" risou 76, Mrs N. Fitzgerald 76. The best gross score, 96, was returned by Miss J. Morrison. The first qualifying round for the championships was played hi conjunction with the above. Following is the result of the second qualifying round for the Hyde Cup: W. Whitson 89, H. O. Baines 90, W. A. Trask 91, D. Forward 92, J. Fitzgeraid. 92, G. S. Port 92, W. Kane 93, A. E.
