Telling the Truth.
"Do you reaiise thac you will have to tell ihe truth?" asked Mr. Justice Fair when a nine-year-old witness wasbeing sworxi in at the Supreme Court yesterday. "Do you know what will ixappen ifi you do not?55 "Yes," replied the diminutive Maori boy, whose iiead was only a little above the witness box. "If I don't I will go to gaol." "He seems to have a good grasp of his obligations, at any rate." remarked His Honour.
