The best sale of table birds for years was the general impression at Gordon Walker, Ltd. 's weekly market sale held on Saturday last. Prices realised were as follow: — Poultry. — Table birds 2/6 to 9/6, W.L. hens 2/9 to 3/2 and 2/4 to 2/11, W.L. cockerels 2/11 to 3/10 and 2/- to 3/3, W.L. pullets 4/3 to 6/6 and 2/6 to 4/-, B.O. Hens 3/- to 4/1 and 2/4 to 3/3, B.O. cockerels 4/- to 9/6 and 3/2 to 3/9, B.O. pullets 4/1 to 5/9, others (hens; 2/9 to 3/6, (cockerels) 2/9 to 4/1, (pullets) at 5/-, canaries 2/- to 2/6, budgies 6/- to 9/-, ducks 5/8 to 7/8 per pair. Pigs.— -Weaners 10/- to 18/- and 5/to 9/-, slips 10/- to 19/-, stores 16/6 tb £1 3/-, light porkers £1 3/- to £1 10/6, porlcers £1 9/- to £1 18/-, heavy porkers £2 to £2 15/-, baconers £2 10/6 to £3 10/-, choppers at £2 1/-. Dairy stock. — Jersey cross cows £2 12/6 to £7. • Sundries included: — Lady's cycle £4, gent. Produce sold easily at vendors' rates.
