WAIPUKURAU, This Day. On Friday evening, the Home and School League hold their usual monthly card evening and dance in the primary school, Waipukurau, where there was an excellent attendance, both in the card-room and dance hall. Mr. Burfield was in charge of the cari room, and the prize-winners were: Ladies, Mrs. Rusher I, Mrs. R. McLean 2. Gentlemen, Mr. Phillip 1, Mr. Haycock 2. In the dance hall, Mr. G. Hall had* things well arranged, and the dancers spent a happy evening dancing to popular tunes played by Mrs. Lovatt. Entries were played by Mrs. J. White, Messrs. S. Bryce, Nicholson and S. Hunter. A dainty supper was served by members of tho Home and School League committee.
