PLANE SHOT DOWN
Attempt to Bribe Pilot (Received 31, 1.20 p.m.) BILBAO, May 30, M. Galli, the pilot of the Air Pyrenees 'plane which was shot down by the rebels on May 28, stated that before leaving France an airman niet b.im and said: "My bosses don't want this line to run. They offer you £3000 to make a forced landing at San Sebastian. You and your passengers w£ll be taken prisoners, but tlie authonties will treat you well and exchange you for prisoners in the hands of the Spanish Government," M. Galli refissed, whereupon he was told: "Well, you will be shot dowm, as the iusurgents aro. determined to prevent Air Pyrenees from running.".
