LONDO-N, May 30. Sir Archduke Parkhill, Australian Oefence Minister, presided at the first meeting of the Civil Air Communicationa Committee, the proceedings of which were largely confined to the xeviewiug of the progress of Imperial air routes. One of the committee 's maia problerns is the exp'ansion of foreigu airlines eepecially in South America and the Pacific. It is hoped the conclusions of the conf erence will contribute to Empiro lines taking an equally prominent place.
