TRIPLETS TAKEN TO WELLINGTON

Serenely Unconscious of Public Interest CHEERS AS TRAIN LEAVES The Anderson triplets, born in Hastings on Coronation Day, left Hastings by the mail train for Wellington, where lney will enter the Karitane Home. There was a big attendance of interested people present for their departure, among those present being the Hon. W. E. Barnard. M.P., of Napier, and Mr. E. L. Qullen, M.P. The youngsters, serenely unconscious of all the fuss being made about them; were snugly tucked up in baskets m tlie special carriages that had been arranged for them by the Minister of Euilways, the Hon. D. G. fchilltvan, iu response to Mr. Barnard 's representations. They were accompanied by two Plunket nurses. As the train pulled out, cheers were given for the triplets, their parents^ and their nurses. Even the engine-drivers were affected by tbe wave of enthusiasm, for, as the train approached the Heretaunga street crossing, the whistle played a iively tune. The triplets appeared to be in excellent health and to be making good progfess. Their father, Mr. J. C. Anderson, of Kahuranaki,' was present to see them off, and later in the morning he called at Sister Gardiner 'a nursinghome for Mrs. Anderson, who is returning home to-day. Mr. Cullen informed the HeraldTribune that he was making representations to the acting-Prime Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser, to have the King's Bounty conf erred upon th^ youngsters.
