It is the first coloured Popeye as well, and -the first to be photographed in FleiBcher5s new 4 'cartoon depth photography,55 utilising- miniature sets instead of flat bac-kgrounds. The story, of oourse, is one built for Popeye; it tells of the meeting of the two greatest sailors in the world, and their ultimate earth-shaking battle. Settings were chosen to-give full play to the advantages of the fullcolour and third-dimension features.
