Mr and Mrs E. E. Elphiick left by car this morning for Palmerston North, where they will xeside in futuro. Mr A. Brearley,. ef the Chartered Bank of India and China, arrived at Wellington yeteterday in the Maunganui from Australia, Mr A, P. Harvey, of tha Bastern Bengal Railways, was a passenger in the Maunganui which arrived at Wellington yesterday from Bydney. Mr J. M. Blake has been appointed manager of the Tourist Motor Co., Ltd. Mr Blake has been in the company's employ since he left college., Mr and Mrs R. de B. Hill leave Wairoa on Monday for Stratford, where Mr Hill has been appointed Inspectpr of Stock, after holdihg a similar pqfsition in ^Wairoa for nine years, Dr. F. W, Ititchett, professor of clinical medicine and therapeutics at Otago University, was congratulated by the university council this, w.eek upon his eleotion a? a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. It was statcd that there wero only three or fonr f ellows of .the. college. in New Zealand. Squadron-Leader M» ' W, Buckley, offieer in charge of the. Hobsoimlle sir base, and Flying-CiffLcer H, W. Duffey, stationed at the Wigram aerodrome, who will be transferred tp Great Britain under a (system of exchange with Royal Air Force officers, will leave New Zealand for Great Britain on June 1.8Mr W.
