Construction in Dunedin A step forward in the realisation o± a home suitable for the accommodation of the Johnsou quadruplets is containeS in the announcement from Dunedin that Dr. D. G. McMillan, M.P., has rec6ived a telegram from the UnderSecretary iin chargo of Housmg, Mr. J. A. Lee, M.P., to the effect that the Cabinet has accepted the tender of Mr. jbmes O'Driscoll for the condtructiou of the house. It is understood that the coutraet ' price of the home, which is to- be built in Helensburgh street, Wakari, is al■most £1700, The building is to be ereeted on a site provided rent free by the City Ccyporatoion, while the Government is providing for the 'cosx of construction, in return for which a low rental will be charged. The rental will be reduced to a lower figure if the City Corporation is prepared to waive its claim- for rates on the property. So far no decision has been reached in this matter. When the home neaTS "completion a special effort will be made to augment the money already in hand to provide for furnishings. Some criticism has been made, said the Mayor, the Rev. E. T. Cox, regarding the choice of Wakari for the homo, but this decision had been made because of medichl advico, which tlie parents of the quadruplets were quite happy to accept.
