NAPIER GUILD'S LITERARY CIRCLE

The literarv section of the Napier Townswomen's Guild held the monthly meeting on Thursday afternoon. •Mrs K O'Halloran was elected leader, with Mrs R. Boyd honorary secretary, and Mesdames Christie, Everett, Moore, Spackman and Sweetapple the committee for the year. Miss Faulkner gave a travel talk on a tour through Holland to Norway, describing Oslo and its surroundings. the beautiful fiords and scenery, the food, and other little liuinau touches. An added interest was the snapshots taken by herself. A p'ay-reading, "The New Poor" by Gertude Jennings, was well read by Mesdames, Bishop. Madigan, West and L. Wood. "Drama and Art," by Lady C. Colville (President N.U.L.G.'s) was read by Miss Fannin, also the "Admiralty Semaphore" by John o' London.
