GEORGE V. MEMORIAL
Hospital Patients' Plea ■ A donati.on of 10/- to tke King George the Fifth National Memorial Fund has been received by the Mayor of Wellington, Mr T. C. A. Hislop, from Mr Barney Grass, who for two years has been an inmate of the Ewart Hospital for sufferers from tuberculosis, Wellington. In a letter accompanying his subseription, Mr Grass writes as follows "Enclosed please find a postal note for 10/-- towards the fund. I have been in this hospital for over two years, so 1 cannot afford it, btzt, I'll go a bit short of some odds and ends because it is for such a good cause; in faet, 1 don't know of a better cause. lf people would look after their health more than they do and help ' others to regaiu tlieirs, especially the children, hovV ruuch happier they would be. For health brings happiness and weallh, and af^er all what good us woalth ivithout. health. 1 am sure one cannut be kappy without health. "I have travelled a great deal since I was a little boy, and never bothered about my health. 1 was always on thc go. But since I have been kere, J know what health means. I often say to people how happy I would be lf 1 eould get back my health and go baek to the factory and run about the saine as I used to. But tkere is no sucli luck. Therefore I say again that people should look after their own health and try to help others as muck as possible to regain theirs. If you want a ^ good strong building you must have a solic! foundation. Therefore look after the children. That will provade a good foundation to the people knd the country in general."
