The sixteenth place resulted in a tie between F. Nutter and E. A. Tong, both of whom had scores of 72, 76, 148, and the match eommittee will decide by lot which player will remain in the competition. M. W. Howe's total of 148 was the same as that of the two players mentioned, but his place in the competition was assured by his score of 71. The conditions state that in tlie event of a tie the player with the lowest aet score would take preference. The mateh-play draw will be posted at the elubhouso. during the week-end.
