Archbishop Of Canterbury't Tribute HIS PLACE IN NATIONAL UFEI
(Reeeived 27, 1.30 p.m.) RUGBY, May. 26. In the Upper House of the Oonvoca* tion of Canterbury, .the Archbishop of Canterbury referred to the impending retirement of the Prime Minister, end observed that Mr Baldwin' s place in the national life and the part he played there was far wider and deeper than hi| influence as the leader of a great party. Mr Baldwin, he said, hadi prqved himself the spokesman of the national spirit, and he lxad put before his countrymen great ideals which transcended all bounds of party. His appeal for peace in industry, his call to youth, and hi$ call to the British Commonwealth would never be forgotten.
